Left 4 Dead creator Turtle Rock Studios’ next-gen debut will be Evolve, a sci-fi co-op shooter launching this fall, Game Informer revealed in their February 2014 issue.

According to Game Informer, Evolve sees four players teaming up to take on a fifth player, who assumes the role of an alien monster that increases in size and power over the course of the co-op/competitive hybrid multiplayer match. Expectedly, each of the alien hunters sports their own unique class abilities and items.

Originally under THQ’s umbrella, the intellectual property rights to Evolve were picked up by 2K Games for $10.8 million in January 2013 as part of the sale of THQ’s assets.

Evolve is set to launch on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 this fall. For more details, including screenshots and hands-on impressions across twelve pages, check out Game Informer’s February 2014 issue, which will be available digitally later today.
