Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD Amazon Listing Mentions ‘New Difficulty’

Posted on July 31, 2013 AT 10:42am

The HD version of The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker for Wii U will reportedly boast a “new difficulty level,” according to the game’s Amazon listing.

“In this definitive version on the Wii U console, you can experience the game in gorgeous 1080p graphics, manage your inventory and view maps on the Wii U GamePad controller, and even choose to take on a more challenging difficulty level,” reads Amazon’s “From the Manufacturer” product description.

In addition, one of Amazon’s screenshot captions reads, “New Difficulty Level adds to replay-ability.”

To the best of my recollection, and by way of a cursory Google search, no previous Zelda games featured difficulty settings, including the original Wind Waker. I’d check the game itself, but I don’t carry a copy of Wind Waker around with me. Or a GameCube. Or a Wii (coverin’ my arse).

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD is set to launch on Wii U this October in North America.
