LEGO Lord of the Rings Outed by Retailer

Leaked toy boxes and a quickly removed listing h reveals LEGO Lord of the Rings, the latest game in Traveller’s Tales long-running series of brick breakers.

LEGO Lord of the Rings construction sets launch later this year. Early versions sent to toy reviewers carry both the LEGO video game developer Traveller’s Tales and publisher Warner Bro’s logos on the boxes. A listing for the video game also appeared on retailer Shopto’s website – it has since been removed – carrying an October 26 release date.

So we have a toy line and the Hobbit film due to release later this year, would this not be the perfect time to release a video game as well? This is no coincidence. Expect an official announcement from Warner Bros. in the near future. Editor Marc Camron sums up his excitement for the game in two simple words, “LEGO Legolas!”
