Let's watch Geralt's mo-cap actor slice up some fruit

Martial arts instructor and Witcher super-fan Alan Padziński recently posted a video to his YouTube page featuring Geralt’s motion capture actor from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Maciej Kwiatkowski, slicing up some fruit with swords, and it might just make you forget, for a few minutes at least, that it’s the start of another week of the grind in a series of never-ending weeks, which eventually will culminate in a life spent staring at a computer, wondering what could have been.

Padziński, who’s earned a respectable following on YouTube by posting videos of himself pulling off some of Geralt’s fancier swordplay moves, recently invited Kwiatkowski to take part in an epic battle against watermelon and apples, because these are two men who know what it means to be truly alive.

The video (via VG 24/7) starts with Padziński going to town on high-flying with one of his custom-made swords (yes, the dude also makes and sells swords, because he doesn’t waste his life by sitting in an office, waiting for the day to end) before a stampede of rotten apples overrun him. Thankfully, Kwiatkowski comes to his rescue with a replica Witcher sword in hand, and the two get back to doing what they do best: freaking living their lives, man.

If you want to learn how to swing a sword like Padziński, you can start by checking out some of his video tutorials in which he teaches the basics of German longsword fencing and maybe, just maybe, you’ll finally earn the courage to start living again.

The man behind the The Witcher's moves shows what would happen if Geralt was attacked by watermelons.
