Lightning to Join Your Party in Final Fantasy XIII-2 Thanks to DLC

THE BUZZ: As Square-Enix promised, you will be able to add Lightning to your party via a new DLC pack.

The DLC will add Lightning as a boss in the Coliseum mode; defeat her there and she will join your party. It was also revealed in the latest issue of Famitsu that Square plans on releasing multiple secret DLC episodes to flash out Lightning’s story.

EGM’s TAKE: A lot of fans will be happy to see Lightning made available to your party, considering the main focus of the original is only playable in one battle for around five minutes of the whole game. It was also mentioned that more classic Final Fantasy bosses will be added to the Coliseum mode alongside Lightning, but who will they be? Final Fantasy XIII struggled without any post launch DLC, but it looks as if Square-Enix is out to remedy that issue in XIII-2, with numerous DLC packs already planned.
