THE BUZZ: Gearbox Software, the developers behind the acclaimed Borderlands and its highly anticipated sequel coming next year Borderlands 2, has announced a chance for one lucky cos-player to become the face of one of the franchise’s more beloved characters.
Gearbox is holding open auditions to cast someone as a live action version of Lilith, The Siren, and to be featured in Borderlands 2 as the physical likeness of the character. Auditions and screen tests will be held near Gearbox’s home base in Dallas, Texas, and is actually a paid gig.
For all the details, and if unable to make it to the open casting call being held on December 7th, you can also apply online at http://casting.gearboxsoftware.com/ as they will take some online applicants for the final series of screen tests.
EGM’s TAKE: It’s a bit of a last minute announcement it seems with the open casting call only a week away, which makes me wonder if Gearbox had someone lined up and they backed out, but either way this is a huge opportunity for some lovely lady out there and if they’re truly geeky, I’m sure they’ve traveled farther for less.
What do you folks think? Any ladies going to go through with this? Is this worth a trek to Dallas if you’re coming from say, one of the coasts? What could this mean for Borderlands 2? Let us know your thoughts with comments below!
