THE BUZZ: Recently, there was talk going around that NECA had decided to cancel their planned replica of the Portal gun. The gun is still coming—and now it has a release date and price.
EGM’s TAKE: Showing up today on ThinkGeek, NECA’s limited edition Portal gun replica will be hitting on an estimated release date of May 18th for $139.99.
The replica is at life size 1:1 scale, features both orange and blue LED lights, “unique sounds” to go along with both of those colors, a working trigger, and “extendible & possible” claws. (Actual working portals must be supplied by the customer.)
The limited edition Portal gun replica will be limited to 5,000 pieces worldwide, and ThinkGeek is—at least as of now—not doing pre-orders for the gun. So, actually getting yourself one might be a bigger challenging than outwitting GLaDOS.
