THE BUZZ: Sony has released a list of PSP games that will be compatible with the PlayStation Vita at launch.

The only way to play PSP titles will be to download them digitally, as the Vita has no UMD slot. There will be 155 retail games to download at launch and 120 Minis, and Sony has promised, “more PSP titles will be made available for PS Vita play in the coming weeks.” Games can either be downloaded digitally on Vita or via PS3 and then transferred.

The full list can be found here.

EGM’s TAKE: There are a couple of games missing from this list that we were hoping would be available, namely Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core and Kingdom Hearts. Hopefully these will be added shortly. There are still plenty of great titles that you can download and play if you’re up for it. However, with all the fantastic Vita games available, quite why you would be wasting your money on old PSP titles is beyond us.

What games would you like to see added to the list? Let us know in the comments below.
