THE BUZZ: It’s the most most sensational, inspirational, celebrational, Muppetational DLC ever released! That’s right, the Muppets are invading LittleBigplanet 2.

The “Muppets Premium Level Kit” contains five new levels and two new mini-games, which all tell a new story. The official plot description:

“The nefarious Phantom has plans to stop the Muppet Show from being a smashing success. That simply will not do! With help from the new Attract-O-Gel and Attract-O-Tweak, products of the infamous Muppet Labs, it’ll be up to you to make sure it all goes off without a hitch before the last curtain falls.”

The Attract-O-Gel material, “allows Sackboy to walk on walls and ceilings,” and the Attract-O-Tweak gadget, “can be used to give these sticky properties to any material.”

The DLC releases today, January 24, and will set you back $5.99 or £4.79.

EGM’s TAKE: There shall be no bad Muppet puns, and no more reciting lines from the theme song from now on, promise. How can you not be excited by Muppet DLC? All of your favorites are included: Kermit, Miss Piggy, Gonzo and even good old Rowlf is available as a bonus costume. As if all of this wasn’t already a bargain for $5.99, the pack also includes ”decorations, stickers, objects, music tracks, sound effects, and voices, plus 7 new trophies and 12 new pins for people looking for an actual challenge. The addition of the Attract-O-Gel will certainly add a new layer for level designers to play with. Imagine the possibilities of being able to stick to any object in LittleBigPlanet.
