We all knew that Sony would eventually bring LittleBigPlanet to the PlayStation Vita, and now we finally have a set release date. Originally revealed back in 2011, the game was noticeably missing from the Vita’s launch lineup, causing PlayStation fans to worry—but now, LittleBigPlanet Vita is set to release on September 25th for North America.
Better late than never, I always say.
Japan will be getting it five days earlier on September 20th, with Europe actually having first dibs on September 19th.
It makes sense, though, since developers XDev, Tarsier Studios, and Double Eleven are all European companies. For all the work it’s apparently taking for LittleBigPlanet Vita to actually get out the door, the developers apparently got Sony to release it close to home before everywhere else.
More than anything, this title’s biggest innovation will be the PS Vita’s camera, which can use photos incorporated into levels.
Of course, I suspect some nefarious parties will simply upload .JPEG images of MyLittlePony or X-rated material.
