London Riots Destroy Sony’s DADC Facility

The ongoing riots in London have resulted in the destruction of Sony’s DADC facility located in Innova Park, Enfield.

The plant is responsible for the manufacturing of CDs, DVDs, UMDs and Blu-Rays, as well as housing high tech research labs which are working on new optical technology.

PlayStation 3 fans shouldn’t worry to much though as the majority of PlayStation discs are printed at a similar facility in Austria.

A caller has since confirmed to BBC News that the fire was started by looters who were seen running away from the seen carrying Sony products.
