The tale of a cybernetically augmented couple slipping from regular citizens to victims as part of a mechanical apartheid is the backdrop for the newest Deus Ex: Mankind Divided trailer.

No actual gameplay is shown, but the live-action trailer works as a narrative build up to the world—split between “Augs” and “Naturals”—players will explore once Mankind Divided arrives in the summer. The once-happy couple, taken in by the better life through cybernetics, falls prey to human prejudice against machines once augmented people become afflicted by extreme delusions.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will launch on August 23rd for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
