LulzSec Goes On Hacking Rampage, Takes Down Minecraft, EVE Online, Escapist Magazine, League of Legends Servers
Posted on June 14, 2011 AT 01:02pm

Today has been a busy day for hacking group LulzSec, as they take down a number of gaming-related sites and services, and they’re promising to continue their efforts.
Their targets for today? Popular indie game Minecraft, also popular PC MMO EVE Online, and internet gaming website The Escapist magazine. As of writing this, Minecraft seems to be back up and running, while EVE Online, the League of Legends servers, and The Escapist are still down.
For EVE Online, it seems that LulzSec wiped out their login server, which then “accidentally” also took out their website.
The attacks from LulzSec seem to be increasing, and on their Twitter account they’re asking for recommendations from people as to who to attack next. Also, the full brunt of today’s attacks – as in, what LulzSec may or may not have come away with information-wise – is still unknown.
