Indie developer Amanita Design now has a release date for Machinarium, which was announced for a PS3 debut this past August. It’s been a long trek for the game, with canceled launches for XBLA and WiiWare.
As announced on the group’s latest blog post, North America will see the game on PSN October 9th:
The game was released on PSN Europe a month ago and now it’s finally coming also to SCEA region (October 9th) and Asia (October 18th). On PSN Europe the game was already downloaded by more than one hundred thousand players with the average rating 92%. The price is $9.99.
There’s also a PlayStation Vita version in the works, although the timetable for that release is up in the air.
Machinarium will naturally be getting full PS3 Trophy support too. With the PS3 and Vita, that makes six platform appearances for the game since 2009, with the first ones hitting (in order) PC, Mac, iOS, and Android.
