EA Tiburon is bringing a more advanced ground game on both sides of the ball in Madden NFL 17.
On offense, players will be able to pull off different types of special moves based on their ratings, meaning you won’t see beefier tight ends pulling off the same jukes and spins as a lighter running back. New ball carrier UI prompts and path assistance will help newer players get a feel for the most efficient way to run the ball downfield.
Meanwhile, on defense, Madden 17‘s updated defensive AI will include up-to-date strategies, including gap play, force defenders, and an overhaul to zone coverage.
Earlier this week, EA announced that Madden 17 will release on August 23rd for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. In addition to a $60 base game, there will be an $80 Deluxe Edition and a $100 Super Deluxe Edition available. EA Sports revealed the game’s cover athlete, Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski, during yesterday’s edition of SportsCenter.
