Madden NFL 25 Sales Break 1 Million Units in First Week

Posted on September 6, 2013 AT 12:30pm

Madden NFL 25, which launched last week on Xbox 360 and PS3, has already sold over 1 million copies, Electronic Arts announced.

“The strong start for Madden NFL 25 on current-generation consoles is a testament to the power of this amazing franchise and its fans,” executive vice president of EA Sports Andrew Wilson said in a press release. “It’s a big year for our fans as we launch Madden NFL 25 for two different hardware generations, and we’re pleased with the early results for the Xbox 360 and PS3.”

According to EA, players have collectively put in nearly 6 million hours of play time already—which comes out to be about 600 consecutive years.

Madden NFL 25 still has two more releases coming: November 15 on the PS4, and November 22 on the Xbox One. Check out Marc’s review of the current-gen version to see what makes the 25th anniversary edition of Madden so special.
