Marie, the spunky yet mysterious girl that joined the Persona 4 cast as part of the game’s Golden release on PS Vita, is the latest roster addition to be revealed for the upcoming Persona 4 Arena Ultimax.
Marie’s announcement comes on the heels of another DLC character’s reveal, Tohru Adachi. While Adachi will be free for the first week of the game’s launch here in the States, it’s safe to assume that Marie will be a paid downloadable option from the start.
In addition to Marie, another new detail has emerged about Persona 4 Arena Ultimax: the inclusion of an online lobby, where players can find opponents to face off against or simply chat with others. In the lobby, you’ll be able to pick your own avatar and move around Persona 4-based locations such as Yasogami High or Junes. Having seen the lobby system that developer Arc System Works put into their own BlazBlue games, I’m expecting something very similar to that. (That’s not a negative, to be clear—I think BlazBlue’s lobby system is really cool.)
Persona 4 Arena Ultimax will hit this fall here in North America for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
