Since the launch of the whacky Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle for Nintendo Switch, players have been able to expand their experience with a co-op campaign and new maps through the first DLC Challenge Pack. While the next set of DLC for the crossover game will add similar features, an early leak points to a new character joining the ranks in 2018.

Users on ResetERA first noticed the leak, which came from an eShop listing for a Gold Edition of the Ubisoft and Nintendo title. In addition to the main game, the first piece of add-on content, and season pass, the new $80 edition will also offer an upcoming DLC with “an exclusive world featuring a new hero, coming in early 2018,” seen below.

While there’s no indication of who the new character will be, the Mario series has plenty to pull from, including Waluigi, Wario, Rosalina, recent characters from Super Mario Odyssey like Pauline, and many more. Arriving with the hero will be eight new solo challenges, five co-op maps, and 16 new weapons to make battles a little more interesting. The Gold Edition seems to be currently available to purchase, but the new content only lists next year as its launch window, so hopefully, players can expect it to arrive sooner rather than later.

Before the game’s launch, Nintendo revealed the current season pass will cover three pieces of DLC, including a launch day add-on, with the latest leak being the third and final piece of the season. More content arriving in the new year isn’t too surprising either. The odd Mario and Rabbids crossover was met with skepticism during its E3 2017 announcement but has since become a top-seller for both the Nintendo Switch and Ubisoft.
