Marvel fans finally have a release date for the upcoming Marvel Powers United VR, in addition to confirmation of one of the franchise’s biggest names joining the roster.
The game is set to launch on July 26th, coming exclusively to Oculus VR, as listed on its preorder page on the official Oculus website. The site also reveals the roster addition of Black Panther to the VR brawler. The game will feature over a dozen playable characters at launch, with Black Panther as the eighth character currently confirmed for the game. Other confirmed heroes include Rocket Raccoon, the Hulk, Captain Marvel, Thor, Deadpool, Black Bolt, and Crystal.
The game can be played cooperatively with up to four players, for anyone looking to save the universe with some friends at their side. Both an internet connection and the Oculus Touch controllers will be required to play.
One character that likely won’t be showing up in Marvel Powers United VR is our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, who is resting up to carry his own PS4-exclusive title in early September. Marvel’s Spider-Man had a strong showing at this past E3, with a gameplay demo that teased a full squad of villains, followed by its mysterious lead villain getting leaked by one of the game’s voice actors.
