Marvel vs Capcom

With 30 playable characters to choose from at launch, Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is getting players well-acquainted with the roster through character trailers. Apart from the reveal footage for new additions to the fighting game, Iron Man received his own trailer to show off his style and various abilities. Next in line for the Japanese series of trailers is Capcom icon, Mega Man X.

The brief visual run down for the Reploid, seen below, shows off his blaster in action. Mega Man X will have his energy shots, charge blasts, and various punch and kick moves as base level options for players to use. Of course, being the super fighting robot he is, he also comes with upgrades pulled from the Mega Man X series.

Players can step into the armor acquired in the first Mega Man X game, giving the robot a slick white color option that includes a more powerful charge shot and extra movement speed. The Ultimate Armor from Mega Man X4 is another option, giving Mega Man X a darker look where he can use his Nova Attack to dash through enemies. As a nice added detail, a remixed version of Mega Man X‘s opening stage theme plays over the trailer, putting players in the mood to jump and shoot.

The order of characters getting their exclusive trailers is fitting, as Iron Man and Mega Man X relate to the game’s main enemy, Ultron Sigma. In the Marvel cinematic universe, Tony Stark was responsible for the creation of Ultron, while Sigma was a former war compatriot of Mega Man X’s that went rogue to support the Mavericks.

For more first looks, Infinite‘s final boss form and trophy list were recently leaked just around the corner from the game’s release.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite launches for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on September 19th.
