Marvel vs Capcom

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is continuing its trend of revealing new content through tailored trailers, with the latest giving an incentive to pre-order the game. Players who invest their money early will have access to four variant costumes: Warrior Thor, Evil Ryu, Gladiator Hulk, and Command Mission X.

Kicking off the flashy reveals in the trailer, which you can watch below, is a shirtless and beefed up Thor throwing his hammer around to beckon in the dark version of Street Fighter’s Ryu. Giving Thor’s muscles a run for their money, Hulk smashes in with extra armor and a beautiful feather helmet, while Mega Man X’s Command Mission armor adds colorful flair to the Reploid.

Players who pre-order the Standard Edition will receive both tThor and Ryu costumes, but only the Deluxe Edition owners will be able to pick up all four DLC outfits. Of course, the high-priced Collector’s Edition will come with the full costume pack, plus the four exclusive statues of Iron Man, Captain Marvel, Chun-Li, and Mega Man X.

All four costumes will be available at the game’s launch, but it’s likely more costumes will appear for additional characters down the line as DLC. While the launch roster has been fully revealed, the variant looks for the existing characters can slightly change up gameplay, so fans looking for diversity can look forward to these costume packs rolling out after the game’s launch. While players are disappointed in the lack of X-Men characters this time around, there are several new additions, including Jedah, who recently showed off his dark moves with the Soul Infinity Stone.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite launches for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on September 19th.
