THE BUZZ: Want Mass Effect 3 on launch day? Want swanky bonuses for pre-ordering it? That is now all possible via the PlayStation Store.

EGM’s TAKE: While it is no surprise to see retail games show up in digital versions for purchasing and downloading, that doesn’t always happen on the same day that the game launches.

It will happen, however, with Mass Effect 3. On the Official PlayStation Blog, BioWare Community & Social Media Manager Jessica Merizan announced that starting today, PS3 owners will be able to pre-order a digital version of Mass Effect 3. If you do so, you’ll not only get an exclusive M55 Argus rifle as a pre-order bonus, but also a special Mass Effect 3 XMB theme.

So, here’s the question—do you like the idea of being able to pre-order big upcoming games digitally like this? Would you consider purchasing Mass Effect 3 as a download versus a retail copy?
