Mass Effect 3 Confirmed As Wii U Launch Release

If you’re going to be jumping into Nintendo’s new console on day one, and you’re eager to step into the shoes of Commander Shepard, then BioWare and EA have some good news for you.
Indeed, Mass Effect 3 has now moved from the “launch window” for the Wii U, to officially hitting on November 18th along with the system and its other launch games.
For its Wii U release, Mass Effect 3 will come as a special-edition pack which includes the From Ashes DLC, Extended Cut DLC, a bonus heavy weapon, and three multiplayer packs: Rebellion, Resurgence, and Earth. So, it’ll be a pretty complete version of the game as it stands on other platforms as of this point.
Of course, what it won’t come along with are copies of Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2. I still think it’d be strange to dive into the final act of a three-act trilogy, but for those who decide they want to do so, the Wii U version of Mass Effect 3 will include an “interactive backstory comic”—which will not only get you caught up to speed storyline-wise, but also allow you to make some of the decisions that define the journey of Commander Shepard.
Just as long as you make sure that Shepard is female, because we all know that FemShep is RealShep.
