Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut DLC Announced

THE BUZZ: BioWare has announced Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut, new DLC that will expand on the game’s controversial ending.
The DLC will add new cinematic sections as well as epilogue scenes which will add more clarity to the game’s original ending. Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut will be available this summer on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC, free of charge.
BioWare CEO Ray Muzyka said in a statement: ”We are all incredibly proud of Mass Effect 3 and the work done by [Mass Effect series executive producer] Casey Hudson and team. Since launch, we have had time to listen to the feedback from our most passionate fans and we are responding.”
“With the Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut we think we have struck a good balance in delivering the answers players are looking for while maintaining the team’s artistic vision for the end of this story arc in the Mass Effect universe.”
EGM’s TAKE: The people cried out in anger and it appears as if the people have won. Although by the sound of it BioWare isn’t actually changing the ending, it is simply just answering a few questions that were left open, which is what most of the less extreme fans wanted anyway. Hopefully everyone will be happy with this new content and this whole thing can be forgotten. Perhaps now we can move on to some real DLC for the game.
