Mass Effect 3 Goes Gold

THE BUZZ: Casey Hudson, Executive Producer at BioWare, has revealed that Mass Effect 3 has now gone Gold.

“After an awesome effort by our team, I’m proud to announce #MassEffect3 is officially GOLD! Many surprises await you – this week and beyond,” he said on Twitter.

EGM’s TAKE: Now in case you were wondering, Gold means that development on a title is now finished and is now ready to be pressed onto disc and shipped. Basically it means that the game shouldn’t suffer any last minute delays and will hit it’s March 6 street date. If you’re itching for some Mass Effect 3 action before then, keep an eye out on the Xbox Live Marketplace, Steam and PlayStation Store tomorrow, February 14, when a demo for the game goes live.
