Mass Effect 3 Handheld/Mobile Details Coming Soon

THE BUZZ: EA has revealed that more information will be coming in regards to Mass Effect 3′s tie in mobile products later this year.

The rumors first started in May, when EA listed mobile/handheld products for Battlefield 3 and Mass Effect 3.

EGM’s TAKE: Many believe that these products will be linked to Mass Effect 3′s multiplayer “Galaxy at War” component, acting as an extension. The chances of a full game coming to handhelds is unlikely unless in the form of Mass Effect’s last outing on iOS, the underwhelming Mass Effect Galaxy. Expect some sort of micro-management game that will allow you to unlike items, perks or abilities to use in the full game, this would be the best way to implement it. The Mass Effect story requires too large a scale to move into the handheld space completely.
