THE BUZZ: BioWare is set to unveil a “killer new feature” for Mass Effect 3 in the next issue of Xbox World. The current edition of the magazine features a tease on what to expect in the next month, but offers nothing more than this nebulous hint. Could this be the long-rumored multiplayer component, or something else entirely?

EGM’s TAKE: The rumors started when BioWare posted a job listing searching for a Multiplayer Programmer for the Mass Effect franchise, and since then a number of other sources have claimed details such as the game featuring a Horde-style mode. Could the reason behind the game’s recent delay until March 2012 be to give the developers more time to polish multiplayer? We’ll find out soon enough.
