Mass Effect 3

THE BUZZ: A new Mass Effect 3 video, showcasing the planet Mars, has appeared online.

The video, courtesy of Gametrailers, shows new footage of the planet as well as details on the return of an old friend – Liara.

EGM’s TAKE: Mass Effect 3 is set to do things bigger and better than the first two games combined, with an epic interstellar war for galaxy as a backdrop. Each is the major battleground, however it appears that other planets will also be part of the war, as seen in the video. Grand scale set pieces seem to be the order of the day, with giant robots and worms battling it out overhead while you race through crumbling ruins. Finally the video teases the return of Liara, an old companion from the first Mass Effect who also makes an appearance the second. She became a cult favorite among fans and has earned the right to make a second comeback. Will any other old faces rejoin Shepard for one last battle?

If not in the game then perhaps in the Dark Horse recently announced new series of Mass Effect comics.
