Mass Effect 3 Plot May Change From Leaked Version

THE BUZZ: BioWare’s Ray Muzyka has revealed that the script for Mass Effect 3 may change after a copy of the game accidentally leaked out earlier this month.
An internal beta version of the game was accidentally put live during the Xbox 360 dashboard preview, a few people got to play and a few others decided to hack the files and reveal a ton of spoilers regarding the plot.
“In the big picture, some more stories are generated around it and more interest in the game,” he told Eurogamer. ”Only a small number of people are probably going to look at those spoilers in advance. It’s hard to say something like that having a positive benefit, but if it gets more people to check out Mass Effect 3 that would be a positive benefit.” Muzyka then revealed that the plot of the game may change before the game’s launch:
“We listen to our fans all of the time. We listen to them on the forums, their feedback from stories. We’re reading it all. If we can get ideas out of it that will make the game better, sure. We’re not adverse to taking feedback. That’s part of our core values, is humility. Any time we get a good idea from fans… they’re our audience. They keep us in business.”
EGM’s TAKE: The spoilers are out there but why would you want to ruin what could be the biggest game of 2012?
