Mass Effect

If you’re tired of getting your butt kicked by the Kett while on apex missions, Bioware has heard your cries and have offered some remedies in the latest Mass Effect: Andromeda patch.

The update, Patch 1.06, provides buffs on the base damage of powers and certain weapons such as assault rifles and shotguns, in an attempt to keep the action more “fast-paced” on higher difficulties, according to the multiplayer patch notes. In other words, the Vanquisher sniper rifle is no longer your only option.

The single-player campaign has also received a fair amount of attention in this update, adding improvements to cinematic cutscenes, dialogue options, and balance issues on higher difficulty levels. You can peruse the full patch notes over on the BioWare Blog.

Unfortunately, for all the good it does, the new patch also removes a glitch that allowed players to romance more crew members than BioWare intended. Thankfully, we’re certain there are entrepreneurial fan fiction writers out there making all your Andromeda fantasies come true.

Michael Goroff has been gaming for almost three decades. He's a lover of all games and systems, but he mostly plays Xbox. That being said, if he's a fanboy, he's a fanboy for the game industry as a whole. Spit white-hot fanboy hate at him, trash talk his Gold II rank on Rocket League, or maybe just send him a cordial hello on Twitter @gogogoroff.
