Over on Microsoft’s Play XBLA blog today, a number of character skinks were announced for the XBLA version of Minecraft.

With the upcoming 1.7.3 update to Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition, you’ll finally be able to pick different skins for the main character (aka Steve). According to Play XBLA, you’ll get the ability to not only choose from the eight skins that are already in the game, but 40 additional skins via the Minecraft Skin Pact 1.

While some of those skins were already revealed, part of today’s announcement was that Halo frontman Master Chief himself will be part of the pack.

Here’s a list of the characters that have been confirmed for the pack:

• Wizard
• Creeper Man

While Play XBLA isn’t saying for sure when the 1.7.3 update is coming, rumor has it it’ll be hitting next week. What is known for sure, however, is that the Skin Pack 1 will cost you 140 MS Points when it hits.
