Kirby’s headed back to the 3DS in Kirby: Planet Robobot.
When invaders mechanize Dreamland, it’s up to Kirby to save the day once again. Fortunately, he’s got a new trick up his sleeve: the ability to use the Robobot enemies’ tech against them. Form Kirby’s Robobot to smash obstacles out of the way, and combine the tech with Kirby’s copy abilities to transform into 10 different Robobot Modes.
A separate game mode called Team Kirby Clash allows four players to band together to defeat bosses. For the first time in a Kirby game, players will select specific roles within the team and earn experience, allowing their chosen roles in combat to grow more powerful.
Kirby: Planet Robobot is also compatible with amiibo. Each amiibo instantly grants Kirby a related copy ability. For example, tapping a Mario amiibo grants Kirby the Fire ability, while tapping Link gives the Sword ability.
A new line of Kirby amiibo launch alongside Kirby: Planet Robobot, including a new Kirby figure, Meta Knight, King Dedede, and Waddle Dee. Tapping any of these will give Kirby both a copy ability and a costume, while the Kirby amiibo specifically unlocks the unique UFO ability.
Both Kirby: Planet Robobot and the new line of amiibo release on June 10th.
