Bethesda has released a new trailer for Tango Gameworks horror sequel, The Evil Within 2, that introduces Stefano Valentini, one of the human “monsters” prowling the STEM world.

“Not only will Sebastian have to contend with the myriad horrific creatures waiting for him in The Evil Within 2, he’ll also have to deal with the human “monsters” who have made their way into the new STEM world,” the publisher explains.

One of these is Stefano Valentini, a twisted and deadly photographer who captures the last seconds of a person’s life in a tangible, looping scene. Valentini was originally a war photographer, but was driven to madness after losing his eye in an explosion. As a result, he started to become obsessed with capturing the precise moment at which a person dies, but it was hard to naturally find those moments, so he decided to start creating them.

“One victim became two, and soon enough he had become a serial killer, photographing each of his victims’ faces at the exact moment of their demise,” the publisher adds. “But the real world could never appreciate his talents. Stefano was hunted, until he found himself in this STEM world – a world of ‘pure creation.’ A world he could shape to suit his own desires. And Lily is the key to unlocking the potential of this world.”

The Evil Within 2 releases October 13th, 2017 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
