Mega Man 11 video reveals new stage obstacles, special weapon

Capcom has unveiled a closer look at two of Mega Man 11‘s robot masters and the obstacles they’ll be throwing at players.

The recent video from the official Mega Man Twitter account offered a glimpse at Torch Man and Blast Man’s abilities in battle, as well as the hazards of their stages. For a brief look at Mega Man’s upcoming platforming antics in those stages, check out the clip below.

While the developer has already shared an in-depth explanation of Blast Man’s stage and special weapon, Torch Man was only recently unveiled during this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. It appears Mega Man will have to avoid a wall of fire, robot owls that will lob fireballs at him, and mechanical tents housing giant bunnies.

As for the fight with Torch Man, the Blue Bomber will be sliding and jumping over a few flame-based attacks. The fiery boss was shown hurdling flame discs and delivering forceful kicks that will send Mega Man flying into the wall.

When the boss is defeated, though, Mega Man’s bounty will be the Blazing Torch. The special weapon will shoot flames into the air that then crash down on enemies. Also, with the new Power Gear system, he’ll be able to fire off three of the flaming projectiles at once for a limited time.

Capcom has already revealed a few of the other robot masters that Mega Man will go up against in his next journey, including Block Man and Fuse Man. In their reveal trailers, players were shown the Double Gear system in action, which will let Mega Man increase his power or speed.

Mega Man 11 will release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on October 2nd.
