Konami has announced that a demo for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance will be coming to the U.S. and Europe early next year, following its release in Japan today.

The demo is now available to download from the Japanese PlayStation Store, but is region-locked, meaning that even if you download the game in other territories using a Japanese account it won’t play. Konami has promised that a version of the demo will be released for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in the U.S./Europe in January.

At the moment, the only way to acquire the demo is to purchase a retail version of the Zone of the Enders HD Collection.
