A demo for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance will be hitting Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 next week, offering fans a chance to try this unique take on the Metal Gear franchise before launch.

The demo will be available to download on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 from January 22 and allows players to try out the game’s first mission.

I’m still on the fence about Rising seeing as Raiden is one of my least favorite characters in the Metal Gear universe–not even turning him into a bad ass cyborg ninja is going to remove the memory of his whiny Metal Gear Solid 2 debut.
