It appears that trophy support isn’t the only bonus feature coming to the budget re-release of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, the game will also be getting full install support.

Previously, at the start of each chapter you would need to install a part of the game, disrupting sessions and generally just annoying players, in the new release there will be an option to install all data at the start of the game, removing any unnecessary pauses.

A listing on Konami Style mentions both the trophy support and the new full install option. The support for trophies will be added via a patch for existing owners, but it’s unclear if they will also get a patch for full install support, or whether that will be for new copies only.

It’s taken four years, but finally we are getting the ultimate version of Metal Gear Solid 4. The re-release is penciled for August.

What other features would you like to see included?
