Hideo Kojima has revealed that Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes will include base building, and also mentioned the possibility of smartphone integration with this feature.
Snake will have a home base in the game’s open world which can be upgraded and managed as the game moves on. Snake will have the ability to walk around the base and players can fortify it as they see fit. Kojima also mentioned that the team is working on a smartphone app that will allow players to manage their base while not playing the game.
Finally it was announced that weapon R&D from Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker would be returning in Ground Zeroes.
