THE BUZZ: This morning, Konami announced details for a Limited Edition version of the upcoming Metal Gear Solid HD Collection.

In addition to, of course, the game collection itself, you’ll get a Yoji Shinkawa-designed exclusive package, and a 248-page Metal Gear Solid art book.

The Metal Gear Solid HD Collection Limited Edition is up for pre-order on Amazon for both PS3 and Xbox 360 for $80, so it’s a pretty safe bet that that’ll be the going price for the package.

EGM’s TAKE: Even though I’m typically not one for limited or collector’s editions, I’ve got to say that this one feels a little bare-boned. To be fair, the artbook looks nice and beefy, and if there’s anything I’d want to be included in a limited edition, it’d be an artbook. Still, I guess I’m just too used to seeing the crazy editions that typically come from other publishers.
