THE BUZZ: Metal Gear Solid: Rising producer Shigenobu Matsuyama has stepped down from his post Kojima Productions, producer Kenichiro Imaizumi has confirmed.

He has been replaced by veteran Konami programmer Yuji Korekado who will act as sole producer on the title. The game is set to appear at the Spike VGAs next month.

EGM’s TAKE: Losing a producer this far into the project will be a blow for the team, and could mean the project isn’t shaping up as well as it could. Fortunately, his replacement is more than capable of filling the roll.
