THE BUZZ: Although Metal Gear Solid: Rising was not scheduled to make any sort of appearance at the Tokyo Game Show, it still managed to sneak its way in.

A teaser image was spotted at the show for the game, featuring Raiden wearing a construction hat with the words “under construction” and “2012″ written on it, which points to it being on track for a 2012 release. It was also announced that the game is in development for the PlayStation Vita and will utilize the new “Fox Engine” that was unveiled a few months ago.

EGM’s TAKE: We’re giddyn to learn that Rising is still on track for a 2012 release, and the news of a Vita outing to just makes it all the more sweeter.
