Nintendo announced that Metroid Prime 4 is currently in development for the Switch during its E3 2017 Press Conference.

We’d heard rumors that Retro Studios was working on a new game and that it was probably the next Metroid Prime, so it’s nice to get confirmation.

No release date or any additional information was given, but we do know that it’s called Metroid Prime 4, not Metroid Prime Federation Force 2, so that should be a comfort for Samus fans.
