The PlayStation 4 version of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes will run at a native 1080p resolution at 60 frames per second, while the Xbox One version will run at 720p at 60 fps, Konami has confirmed.
According to the game’s official website, the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the game will both run at 720p at 30 fps. If you’re interested, you can check out some comparison screenshots between last-gen and current-gen over on Konami’s site.
Metal Gear Solid series creator Hideo Kojima recently stated that the PlayStation 4 can render 1080p at 60 fps with “room to spare.”
Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes is set to release March 18 in North America and March 20 in Europe (March 21 in the U.K.) for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4.
