Explosion enthusiast Michael Bay is bringing Ghost Recon to the silver screen.

“Having one of Hollywood’s boldest feature film directors attached to bringing Ghost Recon to the big screen is a dream come true for us,” said Ubisoft Motion Pictures CEO Jean-Julien Baronett in a press release. “And with Warner Bros. unmatched track record of successfully producing, marketing, and distributing big movies from the industry’s top talents, we think this project has huge potential.”

Bay is best known for his directorial work on Bad Boys, Armageddon, The Island, and Transformers.

Last year, Ubisoft put together a 25-minute short as a Ghost Recon film pitch for Hollywood (embedded below).
