The latest criticism of Aliens: Colonial Marines comes from one of the voice actors themselves—Michael Biehn, who reprised his role as Corporal Hicks, described the project as “kind of passionless.”
As part of an interview with Game Informer about the inception and creation of Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, Biehn contrasted his experience working with Blood Dragon creative director Dean Evans as Sergeant Rex Colt—one he describes thoroughly satisfying and enjoyable—with his experience on Aliens: Colonial Marines.
“It seemed kind of passionless,” Biehn told Game Informer. “I think in movies, television, and the gaming world, you get some people that are really, really passionate, and some people that are just going through the paces. They think that because they have a brand name they’re going to get a hit game or hit movie out of it. That certainly was the situation on [Aliens: Colonial Marines].”
Biehn’s character, Corporal Dwayne Hicks, is the focus of Aliens: Colonial Marines‘ “Stasis Interrupted” DLC, which launched last week on Xbox Live.
