During their E3 2013 press conference, Microsoft Game Studios’ general manager Dave McCarthy revealed Project Spark for Xbox One.
Project Spark is, functionally, Microsoft’s answer to LittleBigPlanet. The title touts a cartoony aesthetic and revolves around a deep layer of player-driven customization, allowing users to build up the world as they choose. In other words, it’s a game-sized level editor.
“There are an infinite ways to play, build, and share,” McCarthy described Project Spark‘s level of player-controlled world-building and customization.
