Microsoft has officially confirmed that Windows chief Julie Larson-Green is now the new boss of Xbox as part of a significant company shuffle.

Larson-Green is a 20-year Microsoft veteran who most recently worked on Windows 8 and will now look after all hardware development and the supply chain for all Microsoft devices, including the Xbox. She is also responsible for all Microsoft’s studios experiences, including games, music, and video.

Previous Xbox head Don Mattrick is now CEO of Zynga.
