Microsoft Demonstrates Xbox One Snap Feature in New Video

Posted on November 12, 2013 AT 11:18am

Microsoft has released a new video showing a handful of the way Xbox One’s “Snap” feature can be used to complement gaming experiences.

In the video (embedded below), Xbox marketing head Yusuf Mehdi demonstrates the Snap feature using Kinect commands to open up the activity feed of friends, use Internet Explore to access walkthroughs and FAQs for game help, and watch live TV (in this case, ESPN HD).

To avoid distracting the player unintentionally, the Snap command pauses gameplay when issued, but both a game and a Snap function can be performed simultaneously upon unpausing.

The Xbox One launches next week, on Friday, November 22, in both North America and Europe.
