The fall dashboard update for Xbox 360 came with a little unadvertised upgrade to flash drive storage capacity, a welcome upgrade which according to Microsoft wasn’t unintentional.
Flash drive capacity has been upped from 16GB to 32GB following the update. “The more our customers use their profile and download digital content, the larger the file size necessary to store that content and move it between consoles gets,” a Microsoft spokesperson told Joystiq. “Therefore we increased the size of the memory to enable our customers to take more of their Xbox profile with them on the go.”
The fall update began rolling out October 15.
