Gears of War

Microsoft Game Studios VP, Phil Spencer has indicated that the platform holder would like to see Gears of War make an appearance on Xbox One, but the decision ultimately falls to Epic Games.

Gears of War is developed by Epic Games, and they’ve been our partners for a long time on Xbox 360. You should ask Epic Games about what they want to do,” he told Famitsu. “We haven’t announced anything yet about Gears of War, but we hope to bring it to Xbox One in some form. However, there’s nothing more I can tell you at this time.”

Certain key members of the original Gears of War team are no longer a part of Epic Games, including series creator and Epic Games design director Cliff Bleszinski, who left the studio in October 2012. Epic Games senior producer Chris Wynn also left the team to join BioWare, and Gears of War director of production Rod Fergusson has also departed.
